How we’re different
What makes Buchanan Law different is our unique culture of flexibility, innovation and fun (well, unique for a law firm). One saying we believe in here is: “Always take the work seriously, but never take yourself too seriously”.
We aim to continually challenge the conservative attitudes which prevail in our profession so as to develop meaningful, long term and mutually beneficial relationships with our clients.
We also undertake as much work as possible on a team basis to ensure that it is closely scrutinised. We take pride in our work and want it to be as good as we (collectively) can make it.
Not a mega firm, but an expert one
Buchanan Law is not (and quite frankly, does not want to be) a full service mega firm that’s saddled by oppressive overheads. We’re not elitist, intimidating or an advocate for a stylish-suit-only policy: it’s not that there is anything wrong with mega firms, luxury offices, and stylish suits as such, it’s simply that clients don’t always want to have to pay for them.
But seriously, although we are not large, we always play to our experience and expertise by only working within the services and sectors that we know. Unlike some other firms, we do not claim to have knowledge across every legal practice area and we adhere to a strict policy of referring clients to other law firms whenever appropriate and in our clients’ best interests.
All of this gives you the confidence that, when we receive your instructions, we will have the expertise and capacity to deliver a quality solution, on time and to budget.
